At the beginning of February, Albintra launched their brand new FAKRO PRO program for roofers and dealers through 3 big events.  These were held in the new showroom and attended by nearly 140 people, all professionals interested in FAKRO and its products.

We can look back on a successful Batibouw, during which there was, again!, a lot of interest in FAKRO's (flat) roof windows and loft ladders.  Visitors were particularly impressed by the new preSelect² top hung and pivot roof window, which offers an even more comfortable usage and will be available in 134x160 cm - even in triple glazing!

Gór-Stal, the well-known Polish producer of sandwich panels and insulation boards in polyisocyanurate (PIR), will launch termPIR MAX at Batibouw.  This new type of boards can be bought in thicknesses up to 250 mm and has an exceptional Lambda value of 0,019 W/mK (termPIR MAX19) or 0,018 W/mK (termPIR MAX18), probably the best value in the current market. Gór-Stal’s PIR insulation boards are being distributed in Belgium and the Grand duchy of Luxemburg by Albintra NV, distributor of building materials through merchants in building materials, since January 2018.

During Spring 2016, our Skylights department produced and installed skylights and smoke and heat ventilation systems in Gedimat De Groote / T' Houtboerke's new warehouses in Gent.A good energetic performance is increasingly important in industrial construction as well.  That's why the skylights and heat ventilation systems installed in the lower warehouses by Albintra are EPB-certified.

FAKRO recently won a Red Dot Design 2016 for the DEF U6 flat roof window. The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design and communication design prize awarded by Design Zentrum in Essen, Germany since1955. It is considered by many experts to be one of the most valuable trophies in the field of industrial design.

We're organising the very first edition of the Albintra-FAKRO Classic on the 6th of September 2015: a cycling event with two stages, one of 60 km and one of 100 km.  Start between 7.30 and 10 am from our offices in Broechem (Bistweg 80).
